a. The plan should guide the district’s use of education technology for the next three to five years.

This technology plan will provide the District with a road map for the use of technology to support improved student learning. This support will encompass increased student access to (and use of) technology, improved home-school communication, effective analysis of data, powerful professional development for teachers and administrators, timely technical support, improved infrastructure, expanded funding and continuous monitoring. A District Educational Technology Advisory Committee will be established to provide continuous monitoring of the plan so that adjustments can be made to allow for meeting the plan’s goals. An annual report to the board will be given, keeping the District’s leadership apprised of the plan’s status.

The Palm Springs Unified School District Educational Technology Plan will be in effect from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, a total of three years.
